God as a Stranger: Understanding divine encounters with strangers.
Stories on Migration: Personal and communal migration stories.
Scriptures and Reflections: Biblical insights and reflective discussions.
Migration Experience Exercises: Hands-on activities to deepen empathy and understanding.
Walking with Strangers: Practical ways to support and engage with newcomers.
Conflict Resolution: Tools and strategies for addressing and resolving conflicts.
Hospitality and Peacebuilding: Practical tools for fostering peace and welcoming others.
This camp is not only a learning opportunity but also a chance to grow in community and understanding.
Registration: The registration deadline is September 2, 2024. There is a $50 registration fee (MCC will cover lodging, food and other expenses). The event has a capacity of 20 participants.
Support and Sponsorship: We invite churches, families and friends to support potential participants by covering the registration fee where possible. Your support can make a significant difference in their experience. We also hope you will share this invitation with young adults and encourage them to take part in this transformative experience.

Saulo Padilla, Migration Education Coordinator for MCC
Saulo Padilla has been coordinating MCC’s national immigration education program since 2008. He provides learning opportunities to constituents and the public about the root causes of migration, the need for better and safer mechanisms for people facing migration and advocates for reforming the U.S.’s outdated immigration system.
