Treaty Simulation
Treaties are intended to be legally-binding agreements between sovereign nations and were historically used among Indigenous peoples for purposes such as inter-tribal trade alliances, peace, friendship, safe passage, and access to shared resources.
In this treaty simulation, Lyndon Linklater will guide participants through the process of creating a treaty with stories and a deep knowledge of treaties.
Lyndon J Linklater is a traditional knowledge keeper and story teller.
Everything from vintage fabric, linens, notions, quilts, kits, patterns and fabric will be for sale at the MCC Material Resources Center warehouse. This a perfect opportunity to stock up creative material as we head into winter and the Christmas gift-giving season! All proceeds from the sale go to fund the work of MCC. This event is organized by Quilter's Corner, a committee of the Kansas Mennonite Relief Sale.
