Guided Walk For Saskatoon
Doctrines & Discoveries: A Guided Walking Tour For Saskatoon
This walk, beginning at River Landing and ending at Victoria Park, invites you to explore the history and experience of First Nations, Metis, and settler peoples in the Saskatoon area.
The theme of land, and the lenses by which we view the land, is woven into reflections and questions for the sites you visit. You are encourages to explore and discuss the themes at each site, by looking at how land is portrayed or shaped.
The self guided walk starts at River Landing (at the south end of Avenue A), and concludes nearby at Victoria Park, in a circuit of about 3.2km, taking in both sides of the South Saskatchewan river. The tour can also be shortened at your discretion.
